The “Eco-Optima” delegation has returned from European Hydrogen Week 2026

04.11.2026

European Hydrogen Week 2026 has concluded in Brussels. At the highest expert level, industry specialists discussed hydrogen energy as the next stage of Europe’s energy transition.

The “Eco-Optima” group of companies was represented at the event by Yurii Fedak, Deputy Director for Development, and Mariia Lopushanska, the environmental specialist.

Ukraine’s representation at this important event—including Eco-Optima group of companies —confirmed that we are among those shaping Europe’s new energy market today.

For our country, participation in such a wide-ranging dialogue is of particular importance, as hydrogen is a new segment of the national economy. For energy companies, it also presents an opportunity to diversify their businesses, enter new markets, and attract international capital.

According to estimates by international specialized institutions, Ukraine’s technical potential for renewable hydrogen production ranges from 18 to 38 million metric tons per year. At the same time, realizing this potential requires significant investment, infrastructure development, the creation of guaranteed demand, and competitive production costs. That is precisely why strategic planning and international cooperation began well in advance.

For the Eco-Optima group of companies, hydrogen energy is not an abstract prospect but another area of activity. We are the initiator of the international industrial partnership H2EU+Store, which brings together energy market participants from Austria, Ukraine, Germany, Slovakia, and other European countries. The project involves creating an integrated green hydrogen production chain in Ukraine, transporting it to European markets, and subsequently storing and utilizing it in Central Europe.

As part of this collaboration, Eco-Optima LLC is engaged in a joint project with its Austrian partners, RAG Austria AG, and is responsible for hydrogen production using electricity generated at its own facilities.

European Hydrogen Week 2026 confirmed that Ukraine can be a reliable partner in ensuring Europe’s energy security.
