Ten wind turbines having a total capacity of 54.6 MW were built in the Truskavets territorial community. The wind farm generates 5% of the total consumption of the Lviv region and can fully provide electricity to, for example, three cities as big as Sambir.
The investment in the project amounted to EUR 70 million. The Ukrainian Eco-Optima Group and the Czech company MND were the main investors, with the primary lender being the Ukrainian bank JSC Ukreximbank.
The opening ceremony of the Skolivska wind farm was attended by Maksym Kozytskyi – Head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, Tomáš Kopeční – Governmental Envoy of the Czech Republic for the Reconstruction of Ukraine, Andriy Konechenkov – Chairman of the UWEA, Czech and Ukrainian partners, and representatives of local self-government.
