As part of the partnership programme, the specialists visited sites in Benešov — Mavel a.s., a company specialising in the manufacture of hydro turbines; the plant in Rájec-Jestřebí — a production division of Mavel a.s., specialising in the development and manufacture of control systems and electrical equipment for hydroelectric power stations; the Veletov HPP — an operational small hydroelectric power station similar to our own facility.
During the training, participants were introduced to the process of installing and commissioning the manufacturer’s SCADA system for monitoring and controlling the turbine and auxiliary equipment. In addition, training was provided on the operation of the generating unit, its operating modes and the options for configuring these modes; participants were familiarised with the operation of the automatic voltage regulation system; the operational unit at Veletov HPP was shut down and restarted. An operational algorithm and the necessary signals for controlling the system during the transition to island mode and the subsequent return to synchronous mode were agreed with the host organisation’s specialists.
To facilitate the work of the staff, it was decided to translate the documentation into Ukrainian.
