Skolivska wind farm – the largest wind farm in western Ukraine – celebrated its official opening on 18 September 2024.
Construction of the largest wind farm in Western Ukraine
In December 2023, Oriv Windpark Ltd completed the construction of the largest wind farm in Western Ukraine. Construction of the wind farm was launched in 2021 and continued despite the full-scale invasion of the aggressor country. Skolivska Wind Farm was built in a mountainous area in the Lviv Region. Investments in the Skolivska Wind Farm project reached about UAH 2.1 billion.
Energoinvest LLC ramps up its solar energy capacities
Energoinvest LLC, which belongs to the Eco-Optima Group, has built the 7th solar power plant in the last two years. The power plant is located in the Lviv Region and covers an area of about 2 hectares. Rava-Ruska SPP-1 has metal structures with an adjustable tilt angle of photovoltaic modules depending on the time of year, which makes it possible to increase its energy yield.

ECO-OPTIMA LLC will receive from the EBRD EUR 7 million for the second stage of Yavoriv SES
The EBRD Board of Directors approved the project on funds allocations to “Eco-Optima” LCC for completion of Yavoriv solar power plant construction. According to the website of the bank, the total cost of the second stage of Yavoriv power plant is estimated at EUR 27,8 million. The project is developed under the EBRD Ukraine Sustainable Energy Lending Facility III (USELF III), a EUR 250 million framework to support renewable energy in Ukraine

On June 12, 2019, a regular meeting of the Board of UBAA took place at which the members of the Association Board discussed the current situation in the wind energy market in connection with the commissioning of a new Electricity Market. In particular, it was decided to prepare a letter to the President of Ukraine, the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada and the Prime Minister of Ukraine regarding the immediate resolution of issues related to the operation of the Guaranteed Purchaser and contracts for the sale of electricity with producers of renewable energy sources.

The Eco-Optima wind farm in Staryi Sambir and solar station in Ternovytsya have been NEFCO’s investments into renewable energy in Lviv region.
The EBRD has provided a € 24.7 million loan to “Energopark Yavoriv “ for the construction of a solar power plant
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and EnergoPark Yavoriv LLC signed a loan agreement for the construction of the first stage of the solar power plant with financing needs estimated at €24.7 million.
The signing of the agreement took place on Thursday in Lviv.
Maksim Kozytskyi, the Director of "Energopark Yavoriv" LLC, is reported to start the construction of a solar power station with a total capacity of 36 MW and total financial needs estimated at € 34 million in Yavoriv district of Lviv region in March this year.
"Energopark Yavoriv" LLC is member of the "EcoOptima" group of companies generating alternative energy in Lviv region. There are 2 wind and 4 solar power stations currently operating.
